3 days in Lefkada Greece

Is there anything for a gay couple to do on the Lefkada peninsula in Greece ?

If this question concerns you, or you are looking for a Greek island that is also suitable for gays - then keep reading.

We already had a flight to Athens and we had about 4 days net, and we were looking for where to continue. We had many names of Greek islands that we want to travel to, but the flight times did not suit the main flight times and we did not want to waste precious time....and then we remembered that a Greek guy we met last year in Santorini recommended us the Lefkada peninsula.

After a short read on the Internet, and since the flight we used to arrive in Athens was a night flight, we took the rental car at the Athens airport and drove another 40 minutes to an excellent hotel located in the direction of travel to Lefkada (and also for those continuing north). The price was fair, the service was excellent and it also saved us an hour on the onward journey to Lefkada. We left for Lefkada tomorrow in the morning so we managed to reach Lefkada around 12:00.

The trip to Lefkada is on new and comfortable toll roads, there are several toll stations along the way, you can pay both by credit card and in cash, pay attention to the automatic and manned stations accordingly.

In Lefkada we rented a private villa in an area close to the city, the villa included two bedrooms and two bathrooms and included everything you need and beyond: washing machine, dishwasher and more and of course... the pool where the water was really pleasant in early September.

In the evenings you can go to one of the taverns in Lefkada, we found a really nice one with fair prices, on the promenade.

And then you can also take a short tour of the town, especially the central pedestrian street or on the bridge of the boardwalk.

We did one day trip to the southern town of Vasiliki. A town with a lovely coastline and lots of hotels and activities.

We also went to the central town of Nidri and to one of the beaches located directly opposite, and another day we went to the two beaches Peukoula Beach and Kathisma Beach.
